Audio technology to assist the hearing impaired
Induction loop systems are used to assist the hearing impaired by transmitting amplified sound, like music and speech to hearing aids. Legislation aimed at preventing discrimination against disabled people was introduced in 1995. If you are looking for an installation company to make sure that your premises comply with legislation, contact RD Fenner & Co in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow. We install systems from leading specialist in this field, including Ampetronic and Signet.
Type of Induction Loop System
This electronic technology can be installed in all buildings where the public have access. The presence of a sign indicates that if a hearing aid is turned to the ‘T’ position it will connect to the induction loop technology.
We ensure that any induction loop system, whether installed on a reception counter or in a large hall, will conform to the disability discrimination act of 1995. We can provide you with a conformity test sheet for new or existing systems.
- Room Loop Systems – these are the most common type of systems and can be installed in meeting rooms, waiting areas, large halls and even sporting facilities.
- Low-spill MultiLoop Systems – where confidentiality is of upmost importance. These systems are designed to ensure that the signal doesn’t spill far from the boundaries of the loop.
